Located in Devon, this complex has over 30 lakes that you can fish, which means that there really is something here for all styles of anglers.
The good news is that 12 of these lakes are for fishing holiday residents only. This means even if you decide to have a lie-in, you will always be guaranteed a spot to fish.
Accommodation is great and there is a bar on-site that serves a great selection of food and drink. This means you will never have to leave the complex the whole time you are there and that’s why its one of the best places for a fishing holiday.
2. Docklow Pools

This is a venue that I have enjoyed many a fishing holiday at. It was where my Dad and I enjoyed many carp fishing holidays before he sadly passed away, so this place holds a special place in my heart.
The big lake on the complex is Major Bill which is 7 acres in size. It’s a syndicate lake but is available for residents to fish. In here you will find catfish to 70lb, grass carp to 31lb, and mirror and common carp to 30lb. There is also plenty of other lakes which hold big fish.
There is an onside tackle shop and a great little pub called the fisherman’s arms. A great place to pop in after a day of fishing and listen to tales of the “ones that got away”. Its definitely one of the places where I’ve had my best carp fishing holidays over the years.
3. Stafford Moor

Stafford Moor has 7 lakes to choose from for your fishing holiday. The big specimen lake is known as “Beatties Big Boys” which holds carp to over 35lb, including a lovely 20lb ghost carp. There are only 11 swims on this lake, so pre-booking your spot beforehand is essential. However, you will be rewarded by fishing on a lake that isn’t overfished, and one that is lovely and quiet.
4. Cherry Lakes

The Cotswolds is a lovely part of the country. For those anglers who want a fishing holiday to get plenty of Carp action then Cherry Mere and Cherry Springs are often the best choices.
Some of the fishing lodges have their very own fishing swim attached to the lodge which means you can still spend time with your family as well as fish. What could be better than that?
5. The Carpswolds

This is probably one of the best-named venues on this list. Combing carp fishing and The Cotswolds. This place has everything you need for your fishing holiday, including an onsite tackle shop.
The holiday homes at this venue are a lot bigger than others with the largest offering room to sleep 12, and the other two sleeping up to 5 people.
There are 4 lakes to choose from with 2 of these being just for residents only.
6. Churchwood Fisheries

There are 3 lakes at this fishing holiday venue that hold carp of up to 32lb and catfish to a massive 55lb.
There is only one lodge here which has all the facilities you would need, such as hot and cold running water, a fridge, kettle and sockets for charging electronics. There are no sleeping quarters inside but it’s perfect for some luxuries which you can’t get in your bivvy.
7. Olivemead Lake

This has a great name, as it’s known as “The Hippo Sanctuary” as its just full of very large fish. The owner actually removed over 3000lb of silverfish as well as any carp under 12lb. This means that if you get a bite there’s always a chance it’s going to be a big carp.
In total there are 4 fishing lodges for you to choose from for your fishing holiday and fishing is just for residents only.
In this lake, known locally as ‘The Hippo Sanctuary’, anglers stand a very good chance of catching 30lb and even 40lb-plus carp right from the decking of their own lakeside lodge.
8. Blackthorn Fishery

This is a lovely 3.5-acre fishery near Oswestry not far from the Welsh border. This is truly a place to get away from it all and relax in the beautiful countryside and enjoy a peaceful fishing holiday.
The lake record here is 44lb and there are over 24 fish here recorded as being over 30lb.
There are 4 lakeside lodges to choose from. All of which have their own swims and great views over the lakes.
9. Churn Pool Fishery

Set in The Cotswolds Water Park this is one of the UK’s premier carp venues. It’s known for being picturesque and peaceful. Fishing here is hard but rewarding when you get one.
There are lots of carp in here, with the biggest carp being over 40lb as well as plenty of thirties and twenties.
10. Bain Valley Fisheries

This fishery has 10 lakes that span over 100 acres in size and is then surrounded by 500 acres of parkland. It’s a lovely spot to relax and fish.
Parking is also great at this venue as you can drive up to most swims.
There is no on-site accommodation so it either stay in your bivvy or your caravan which only costs £12 per night.
11. Westfield Fishery

Westfield Fishery is set in glorious countryside and offers some great fishing with privacy and seclusion.
Accommodation-wise, there are 2 shepherd’s huts which each sleep 2 adults and 2 children. These include a log burner and great views over the lakes.
The lake here is 3 acres in size and holds carp up to 38lb in size. If you wanted to give something different a go on your fishing holiday then there’s also a stream half a mile in length which is a bit of fun!
12. York Lakeside Lodges

These are luxury lakeside lodges with the added bonus of a hot tub. Bring the wife along and have the best of both worlds – some fishing and some time with your wife. York city centre is only 2 miles away which is a lovely place to visit when you are not fishing.
The lake is here 10 acres in size which is available to holiday users and syndicate members. The biggest carp here are 30lb, fishing is hard and it’s definitely not a runs water.
13. Furzebury Carp Lakes

Furzebray lakes offer exclusive fishing in South Molton, Devon. Here there are 3 lakes for you to choose from for your UK carp fishing holiday, which are all surrounded by lovely green fields and gardens.

15. Whitespring Fishery

There are 3 lakes at this venue, with all the lodges being around 1 of them but you can fish all 3. The current record carp is 27lb. A great venue for a fishing break.
17. Lake Helen

21. Cromwell Lake

22. Cottington Lakes

This is the premier big car fishery in Lancashire. There are 6 lakes in total and the biggest carp has been recorded at 42lb.

31. Todber Manor

Some of the best fishermen in the country fish here and it’s one I’ve seen featured on YouTube a lot.
It’s a big venue as there are 125 acres in total and 11 lakes (4 of which are specimen lakes).

The cottages are small and cosy and have everything you need.
32. Rookery Waters

Rookery waters has 7 coarse fishing lakes which will suit carp anglers and pleasure anglers all set within the secluded Cambridgeshire countryside.
